The map of Pagan’s mind is naturally themed off Kyrat, the fictional Himalayan setting of Far Cry 4, and features plenty of familiar landmarks and some gold trimming. He’s a bullet sponge you just have to hit and run until he’s down, something that only reminds me that Far Cry isn’t exactly Far Cry anymore, that and the pistol that doesn’t kill with a headshot when you first get it. Ajay also shows up during some of the bigger missions to ruin your day, shouting typically threatening things at you.

He shows up when you’re clearing safehouses, which allow you to upgrade your abilities and guns away from the dinner table that serves as the game’s starting area. You will definitely need to upgrade your weapons as Ajay Ghale is out there and he’s got a three segment health bar and some nasty guns. Again, this is all practically identical to the system from the previous DLC. You can get a leg up on your next attempt with the ability to keep some Respect after death. Right now, there’s no telling what that might be, but it’s unlikely that Seed’s DLC steps back and underplays its secret ending-especially if these reveals are establishing a more unified universe for Far Cry 7.įar Cry 6’s Joseph Seed: Collapse DLC is set for release in March 2022.When you die, you lose all you weaponry and powers, but keep any character and weapon upgrades you’ve unlocked. Based on this, not only does it make sense that the Joseph Seed: Collapse secret ending would need to escalate and draw some big connection between entries in the franchise, but it would also need to tie in Joseph Seed’s actions and that of the Collapse into the world at large somehow. Pagan Min reveals there’s a nuclear missile underneath the palace, which is aimed at Far Cry 5's fictional Hope County, Montana in the United States, forever connecting the two games.įrom the revelation of a still-living character to nuclear capabilities, Joseph Seed’s DLC is inheriting an already-big, connecting history of secret endings. What Pagan Min does, though, is draw a direct connection between FC4 and FC5. It’s a nice little milestone for fans, but Pagan Min’s DLC then takes the ball and runs with it.Įven if Vaas’ story is more contained, it draws a connection between Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 6, with Vaas seemingly returning to a life of smuggling after this encounter. That’s until the Vaas DLC swings in, confirming he survives his encounter with Jason Brody. The implications here are unclear, as it doesn’t really add up on Far Cry 6’s timeline that Vaas would be alive here-at least, there are no direct explanations. In the base game, Vaas’ voice is heard at the very end.

This, if not as effective with Pagan Min as it was with Vaas’ DLC, creates a ton of parallels between each DLC. Overall, Far Cry 6’s gameplay approach doesn’t deviate between DLCs, nor does the overall structure. Joseph Seed’s DLC, titled Collapse, is set to release in March of this year.
